The 3-D nonlinear truss element in XFINAS has 2-node element capable of transmitting axial forces only. The nonlinear formulation is based on the updated Lagrangian method. The truss element can be used as a cable element.

Example In order to the demonstrate the arc-length control algorithm in XFINAS, the nonlinear analysis of the reticulated truss with highly nonlinear path of the equilibrium equation is carried out.
